When it comes to fellow humans where to begin? Over the years I have experienced that people need each other and every person has a purpose. Everyone has a God given talent to be proud. Your God given talent will keep you comfortable and happy. I wish they would abolish putting people into classes because of their financial and economic status, but the justifications are for income tax purposes. We look at the Religious preferences that people make with neighborhood choices and social affiliations the judge. In business we are judged by accepted organizations. In order to move the United States forward you have to use a different perspective.
Every person has good, bad and indifferent qualities. I have learned that the most people choose the wrong people to trust. We all make that mistake from time to time within personal relationships and then move on. Everyone wants positive reinforcement, but is not willing to give it. Example in social media the use of the "like" button at Facebook or the "plus one" at Google, and then there is the "thumbs up" at Linkedin. Each social network has a way to encourage the writer. When you post something to your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, business associates, and connections you would like that support for your communication efforts with people.
Everyone should evaluate this year's choices and move on. The Country is moving forward and they have to move with it. When you make the time to support a friend on and off the internet you would like to have some support in return. My family and friends supported me when I started the travel business. They forgot that I supported them through nervous break downs, loss of parents, death of spouses, divorces, weddings, births, children, grand children, showers, home shopping parties, illness, job losses, transportation, and other concerns like the products they sold and promoted. They forgot that I was picking up the tab when I was able and at every event. I was there for them too, and they only see they were there for me twenty six years ago when I started my business. When I drove, I did not ask anyone for gas money.
This is my anniversary of sorts. Reflection, I suffered a serious illness two years ago. I had a heart attack and a stroke on the 14th of November, 2010 at one hospital. I was transferred to another hospital November 15, 2010 for an eight hour open heart surgery. I spent two weeks in the hospital preparing to return home for continued healing. I had to learn many things over again. I spent six weeks on one floor at home with physical therapy, nurses, and occupational therapist coming to my home. Life is too short to continue with a bunch of one-sided relationships with people.
We all have that seven friend syndrome. We are the listener, encourage, motivator, peer, mentor, learner, and busy body for some people. While we have the listener, encourage, and so forth in our lives for us. This year I kept a journal. I am trying to put my life and the people in my life back into balance. I have to switch things around next year. I want to spend more time with the people who want to listen to me and talk with me. I am tired of being just a number or feeling like an obligation, helping make a five thousand head count at Facebook to fit into the schematics of today's numeric society. There are changes to come for my "People".
"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our souls when we look the other way." Martin Luther King
