Planning my 60th Birthday Cruise

From the desk of Pamela Dabney

Planning my 60th birthday cruise began in August of 2017 with research of departure points and travel destinations. Many of my family members said they would attend. Everyone is getting older. The list of reasons began to get longer and longer. I cancelled the group reservation that I made in September of 2017. Take a look at what is included in our cruise voyage. WE kept our next group of meetings close to our chest. There are more clients attending than family. I love the ocean and a balcony is required for my sailing delights. The cost didn't matter since we started saving in August of 2017. If you do not have a current passport then you need to update or purchase a new one for your future travels. Passports cost money however they are valid for 10 years. Passport Application Information

Norwegian Cruise Lines is our ship of choice for Twenty Nineteen. So many advantages on the ships with excellent meal plans included. We elected the Specialty Dining Packages to visit a few of the following: Steakhouse, French, Italian, Churrascaria, Teppanyaki, Mexican, and BBQ restaurants, plus Margaritaville at Sea. Dining options vary by ship. This provides you the opportunity to make reservations for your special occasion. You will dine in a more upscale atmosphere for the evening. Prepaying for this package means you will not be billed at the end of the voyage. We have prepaid for our meal services charges as well. Our ship is packed with things to do and full of entertainment. We have so many things to look forward to on the ship plus visiting the ports of call.

Celebrating my special birthday requires beverages. The Ultimate Beverage Package (ages 21 & older) was my very first choice. The reason there's a fixed service charge is an important one: Our Crew (as are the crew from other lines) is encouraged to work together as a team. Staff members including complimentary restaurant staff, stateroom stewards and behind-the-scenes support staff are compensated by a combination of salary and incentive programs that your service charge supports. The convenience of pre-paying is to your best advantage including the service charges and tips. This will allow you to plan your budget prior to your cruise giving you additional freedom while on board and at port.
